A VBSPCA Reading Program Connecting Youth and Shelter Pets
Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Tale for Two is a reading program that pairs young readers with shelter animals, making reading more fun and rewarding for everyone involved. By reading to our adoptable cats and dogs, children help provide comfort and companionship, boosting confidence in both the pets and the readers. This in-shelter program is open to youth ages 6–13 and takes place on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. Participants will receive a punch card at their first visit, and after five visits, they’ll earn a goody bag filled with fun items, a book, and a certificate to celebrate their achievement.

Visits must be scheduled in advance. Children are welcome to bring their own books or choose from the VBSPCA library. Join us for this special opportunity to read, connect, and make a difference!
